His plans can not be thwarted.

The hushed scene of wonder lays open the realness of things.

Holy reverent tiptoeing results from living in the midst of what looks impossible.

Living on the surface of life with everything changing leads to Solomon’s words:

Meaningless, Meaningless. Everything is meaningless. Eccl 1:2

Living at the Root with sincerity’s clearness, the life of Jesus rises up like sap. Is this too much to believe ? Such a comfort, now I know how to pray.

God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. II Timothy 1:7 NKJV

Oh to reflect a pattern of genuine trust … to bear holy fervor knowing all is supernatural in faith.

For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance. II Corinthians 5:7 AMP

Realness causes one to sit in the ashes & repent.

I’m convinced: You can do anything and everything. Nothing and no one can upset your plans. You asked, ‘Who is this muddying the water, ignorantly confusing the issue, second-guessing my purposes?’ I admit it. I was the one. I babbled on about things far beyond me, made small talk about wonders way over my head. You told me, ‘Listen, and let me do the talking. Let me ask the questions. You give the answers.’ I admit I once lived by rumors of you; now I have it all firsthand-from my own eyes and ears! I’m sorry-forgive me. I’ll never do that again, I promise! Root living screams; let it be.

Sanctuary.

Waiting will intensify the joy.

Fling every hindering thing to the winds & watch & see.

… in Your light do we see light. Psalm 36:9 AMP

And they answered, Believe in the Lord [give yourself up to Him, take yourself out of your own keeping and entrust yourself into His keeping] and you will be saved … Acts 16:31 AMP

Three Advents Ago: Before Life’s Canvas Changed.

Life has meaning in Christ. One can find the number three steeped in spiritual history of hope. A canvas memory with gapping hole can be the place to peek through & see our forever good God. Nostalgic decorating themes can require holy courage.

What’s the Christmas Tree theme, three years later?

Yep. Nostalgia.

“But instantly He spoke to them, saying, Take courage! I AM!” Matthew 14:27

Come up the mountain.
Look from the top.
Faith allows this view.
Looking with Jesus’ eyes.
His eyes seeing what is & what shall be.
My eyes believing He sees.
Dullness. Vanishes.
For we are where we look.
The air. Clear.
Fearing. No fear. {BRS}

“…Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4

I am much acquainted with Your mercy.

Always Happens.

A God Story.

There always is one.

Recent journaling captures quite a familiar appearance …

Strengthened again & again to win a victory over an inward foe.

Finding myself tired out & thirsty when quite close there is a quenching.

There is a Water.

Then, the cry for help.

The Word of Life comes.

Revives.

Always happens.

The inward foe:

accept the no-s,

receive the yes-s.

No-s to weddings, kittens, road trips & beaches.

Yes-s to His Word & Presence amongst

… herbs flourishing in cracked & lovely clay pots,

… belated sunflower seeds popping up; unthwarted,

… horses crunching the oat & molasses bounty,

… escorted evening strolls with all the doggies of country living,

… text & instagram richness of loved ones callings, gifts & joys,

… life with my men-folk, the relishing & adoring of the now.

God Himself restrains the yearning to fix and waits for me TO COME, TO BRING what’s dark into the Light of His Love for help & for cleansing. Why the fix & be relevant modus operandi for this sojourner? Why not purposefully lead the foes into His Love & Presence for transforming.

In the end the crisis will always be a God story, just the moment when the startling meaning breaks full upon us.

” … Be thankful & say so to Him …” Psalm 100:5

“Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.” Psalm 24:8

Where Have All The Muscles Gone?

I have this one literally playin’ as I begin flexin’ the bloggin’ muscle once again.

Where have all my muscles gone?… long time pass-ing.

The stallion rehabs his muscle on the recumbent bike & words with friends. [ksolid]

One son flexes his muscle in LA, CA

& the other son does some flexin’ at UGA, GA.

The only car’s muscle to rev-up …… hmmm is not in my driveway at the moment.

While the quiet smooth golf cart requires absolutely no muscle, the Kubota tractor only gets ‘mwa’s’ muscle when pretending our pasture is a ski resort.

The mother reserves her muscle for the next Zumba class {rather than the perennial & blueberry garden intruders.} Oh, and the family Yorkie used his one muscle last night visiting our neighbor’s Mr. McGregor garden. {Hey! wasn’t I always the one with the perfect garden for Peter Rabbit. Oh that’s right … where have all the muscles gone?} Our horses have a consume default muscle these days, unless a cute litte horse lover comes along to kindly groom and ride.

Well then, could the mind be the muscle of the day? The minds eye looking upon the face of Jesus. His expression alone showing the truth of the scene. Jesus, what does Your steadfast loving eyes say about these muscle-less matters?

Take time to look and all within will be hushed, as I command thoughts to silence.

“Hush. For this day is holy; do not be grieved.” Nehemiah 8:11

Power streams forth from My strength. I am all the muscle needed for the day.

“No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.” Joshua 1:5

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” II Cor. 12:9

I believe we can hush the lying appearance of “where has the muscle gone”?

We need never know defeat.

Another soul’s inclination for despondency

falling silent to self
in wonder of Him.

For the despondent, every day brings trouble;
for the happy heart, life is a continual feast.

Your road led through the sea,
your pathway through the mighty waters—
a pathway no one knew was there!
Psalm 77: 20

Wedged. No escape.
A place no human thought would have allowed,
yet a platform to display His mercy & strength

with provision never forgotten.

Where unveiled eyes spill,
as a sent one declares to the weak one-s:
“You are the strongest man I know.”
Vessels see Him ~ prevailing.

“…yet not I but Christ lives in me…”
Galatians 2:20

My soul, wait only upon God
and silently submit to Him;
for my hope and expectation are from Him.
He only is my Rock and my Salvation;
He is my Defense and my Fortress,
I shall not be moved.

With God rests my salvation and my glory;
He is my Rock of unyielding strength
and impenetrable hardness,
and my refuge is in God!
Psalm 62: 5-7

This moment has fruit & provision of it’s own.
Finding Him in each place, knowing
He is communicating.

Day after day pours forth speech,
and night after night shows forth knowledge.
Psalm 19:2

Allowing gratitude to turn natural
inclination while Word lifts
spirit from dust.
He has. He will.
Be.
Refuge. Strength. Provision.

“…Lord, to whom shall we go?
You have the words
(the message) of eternal life.”

without evidence of himself and his goodness…”

Sanctuary Sound.

Am i hearing
the sound of living water?

Upon awakening
our old pond friend
is halting his search.

No sound of living waters.

The switch turns on sanctuary’s sound
in the big red house.
The old friend stops
& turns.

Hearing.
Returning.
Snuggling…
into safety’s sound,
his eye’s calmly seen
under hosta leaf.

Sanctuary.
The place yearning is
accepted
& filled.

Good ear.
You heard.

Make me understand the way
of Your precepts;
so shall I meditate on
and talk of
Your wondrous works.
Psalm 119:27

You have compassed this mountain
long enough beloved
seeking accomplishment
in an enclosed circle.
You need not compass
it a moment longer.
Seek sanctuary.

Someth-ing Summer

The strapping strong
fun loving father
with sons loving
life with ‘Dad’.

Every day [with its new reasons]
will I bless You

[affectionately and gratefully praise You];
yes, I will praise Your name
forever and ever.
Psalm 145:2

The son born second,
soon to be 20,
faces life ripping
& requiring him
to let go
of his stallion ‘Dad’
at 17.
The caring for the
shadow of ‘Dad’,
watching the stallion
respond to life as lamb
in all acceptance & patience
& gentleness,
bears an eternal fruit.
A 2 year letting go
enables a now taking
in of something eternal.
The saving of a soul
is good even
among the depths
of sorrowing
& releasing.

The vivid
reminder of brimming
elder son’s eyes,
cracking the mother
wide open, speaking
where is ‘Dad’
yet recognizing
some glimpses here
& there.
The yes
& no-ing
to opportunity-s
of adventure thus
bearing the fruit of an
anointed calling
& broadening shoulders
above a deepening well
of character
& kindness
is beautiful.

“Something beautiful.
Something good.
All my confusion
He understood.
All I had to offer Him
was brokenness
& strife
but He made
something beautiful
of my life.”
